Over the past decade, he has represented contractors, construction managers, owners, developers, design professionals, subcontractors, lenders and sureties in a broad range of domestic and international construction law matters on both private and public projects. During that time, Rory has successfully represented top ENR contractors and designers and many regional players as they work to expand into new markets. In both his litigation and counseling practices, he understands the importance of teamwork and takes ownership of the matters he is involved with to solve problems and pursue winning strategies.
In addition to his construction law practice, Rory serves as a trustee to the AGC of Connecticut Foundation, a non-profit charity supporting educational, training, and workforce development activities in the field of construction in Connecticut. Rory is also a contributing author to numerous construction-related publications including the Construction Law Handbook, State-by-State Guide to Design and Construction Contracts and Claims, State-by-State Guide to Architect, Engineer, and Contractor Licensing. He is also a regular contributor to the Connecticut Bar Association’s Annual Construction Law Review and Summary.
In 2018, Rory was awarded the 40 Under Forty Award by the Fairfield County Business Journal.
Before entering private practice, Rory clerked for the Hon. Douglas S. Lavine at the Connecticut Appellate Court. During college Rory was member of the varsity men’s hockey team at Union College and Northeastern University.
